Centre for Molecular Nanoscience (CMNS)

Research

Research in the Centre for Molecular Nanoscience focuses primarily on so-called 'bottom-up' nanoscience, including molecular self-assembly and self-organisation, and directed molecular assembly. One of our key application areas is in Nanomedicine, including nanotoxicology, sensing and targeted drug delivery.

CMNS leads or participates in research projects in collaboration with academics from at least 9 different University of Leeds schools and departments as well as national and international collaborators from Italy, Belgium, Spain, Croatia and Holland. Research is funded by EPSRC, BBSRC, NERC, RCUK, EC and the Royal Society, as well as by various industrial sponsors.
