The Centre for Molecular Nanoscience offers both taught postgraduate and research postgraduate study (subject to appropriate vacancies) to both Home and International students. The University's academic departments are located on a single campus within 10 minutes walk from the city centre. The size of the campus brings many benefits: there are over 1700 personal computers and the library has over 2.8 million items, plus access to the latest on-line journals and networked databases.

The University provides first class leisure facilities. Sports activities cater for everyone from recreational users to top athletes and facilities include a sports centre, fitness studio and playing fields.

The Students' Union is one of the most active in the country, with a shopping mall, bars, games complex, concert venue, radio station, newspaper, theatre company and award winning nightclub. There are also over 200 student societies.
